Courts & fitness spaces

Make the most of the free work out equipment and courts in the fresh air of the Adelaide Park Lands. The serene sights, sounds, smells of nature while you exercise, make it all the more appealing to pop by on the weekend or even on your way home.

Tennis, netball and basketball courts

The City of Adelaide provides a number of tennis courts and netball/basketball courts in multiple locations throughout the Park Lands. While some are used schools or sporting clubs, they are generally all open for your enjoyment and use. Although free to use, to ensure equal use, courts should be booked in advance.

Find their locations on the interactive maps for tennis courts, netball courts, and basketball courts.

Please note: the Mills Terrace community tennis courts in Possum Park/ Pirltawardli (Park 1) are currently closed due to the condition of the turf. It is anticipated that they will be re-opened approximately 5 October 2019. In the meantime, the Mary Lee tennis courts or Bundey's Paddock tennis courts are open for use.

Handy tip: When planning on using the Park 21 basketball/netball courts on Greenhill Road, the Park Ranger needs to adjust the goal ring (eg. basketball backboard or netball rings) to the correct direction for your activity. Just contact the Customer Centre on 8303 7203 at least three days in advance to arrange this.

Fitness stations

If you like to work out but can’t get to the gym, then you’ll love the free fitness stations dotted throughout the glorious Park Lands.
