Event details - New Year's Eve

The atmosphere at Elder Park this New Year's Eve will be electric! There'll be a huge live-music and entertainment line up, with a great variety of local food and pop-up bars to choose from. HomeStart Fireworks will once again light up the night skies.

See why Adelaide's New Year's Eve is the city's premier Riverbank event.

The historic Rotunda will be in all its glory, bathed in light and providing a focal point for the live music and on-stage performances, featuring headline acts Electric Fields, Ollie English and Jess Day and also including Ukrainian and Bollywood dancing!

The event will include a dedicated Kids Zone, with fun activities for families including street theatre and Little Palais performances, a pop-up play space, as well as roving entertainers.

Enjoy the spectacular HomeStart Fireworks displays at 9:00 pm and midnight. If you want to secure a great spot, check out our Best vantage points to enjoy New Year's Eve article or check out the event map.

    Food and drinks

A huge variety of food truck eats will be available at the event, with many catering for gluten-free and vegan diets.

As we transition to more sustainable events, this year’s event will again be #StrawFreeADL and all food packaging from vendors will be compostable and can be placed in the green organics bins onsite.

Pirate Life and Sidewood Estate will be offering a variety of beverages for purchase at the licensed bars.

No BYO alcohol and for the comfort of party-goers this is a non-smoking event.

    Getting there

If you're planning to ride your bike, you can park your bike in special bike-rack stations located throughout the event grounds. If you're catching public transport, Adelaide Metro will be offering free rides in and out of the city all day New Year's Eve. Off-street parking will be available at nearby UPark's, UPark on Wyatt, UPark on Topham and UPark on Rundle. Visit our Plan Your Journey page for more details.
