The Beatles Artwork

Algo Mas Marketing

This glass artwork on the balcony of the Adelaide Town Hall is to commemorate The Beatles visit in 1964 and the 150th year of Adelaide Town Hall. On 12 June 1964, Beatlemania hit Adelaide with more than 300,000 people lining Anzac Highway and King William Street to welcome The Beatles. The band greeted the crowd from the Adelaide Town Hall Balcony and it was the largest gathering they had attracted anywhere in the world. The artwork is photo-realistic and created using multiple reference images from the Beatles' time in Adelaide, and has been fired onto a sheet of 15mm thick toughened glass and is the largest installation of its kind in Adelaide.
