Situated at the western entrance of the Adelaide Botanical Gardens the Gingko Gates is also the entrance to The Garden of Health.

Gingko Biloba is a species of tree that has been used for centuries as traditional medicine, is now used as a Western pharmaceutical supplement. The species was the inspiration for the artwork.
