On the north-west corner of Currie Street and Leigh Street, Adelaide. Established 1848. This building dates from 1871 and demolished in 1917.

"EXIT, THE WELLINGTON HOTEL.
The unoccupied building which for so many years had been a well-known hostelry under the occupancy of Mr. Alex. Berkholz, situated at the intersection of Currie and Leigh streets, is being demolished. A large number of workmen commenced operations yesterday. The wall of the top storey facing Currie street was the first to be levelled."
