The Green Dragon Hotel, north- west corner of South Terrace and Pulteney Street, was established in 1858 and underwent a number of renovations throughout its history. The building still stands, and houses a restaurant.

'Old boxers meet
Fights in many buildings in Adelaide and suburbs will be recalled by old time boxers at their reunion at the Green Dragon Hotel tonight. Men who fought in Adelaide before 1930, in some cases going back to the years before World War I, will be present. Artists on the program will be Cecil Williams. Alec Carr, Frank Williams, and Ken Baker.'
