Globe Hotel, 36 Rundle Street, c1869

The Globe Hotel, on the north-west corner of Rundle Street (now Mall) and Stephens Place, was established in 1845 and underwent various renovations before it was demolished around 1909. South Australia's first football club, the Adelaide Football Club, was formed in 1860 at this hotel. No relation to the Adelaide Crows.
