The changing face of Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka
Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka (Park 14)
Rymill Park was originally named after Sir Arthur Rymill, a Lord Mayor of Adelaide. More recently it was dual named after Murlawirrapurka, an important ancestor of today's Kaurna community.
Rymill Park is part of the Adelaide Park Lands and City Layout which is included on the National Heritage List.
Adelaide is completely enclosed by the most extensive and intact 19th century Park Land in the world.
Please note the physical sign in Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka was removed as a result of the O-Bahn extension.
