What is #MyAdelaide Staycation?

#MyAdelaide Staycation is an upcoming City of Adelaide marketing campaign which is designed to attract tourists to the city.

As part of the campaign, the City of Adelaide will publish a directory of attractive accommodation and tourism offers on its website from August to November 2020 (the website attracts 1.5 million users annually).

The offers will also be promoted through the City of Adelaide's popular marketing channels, including Facebook (55K followers), Instagram (50K followers), Twitter (97K followers) and email marketing newsletters (over 120K subscribers), and amplified through paid search engine and social media marketing. 

We need your help

We'd like to provide a great selection of attractive accommodation and tourism offers to prospective city visitors.

Accordingly, we're asking you to come up with a compelling offer and submit it to us via the online form below for inclusion in the #MyAdelaide Staycation directory. 

Some ideas for your offer:

  • Breakfast included in an accommodation package
  • A free bottle of wine or drinks upon arrival
  • Late check-out and/or early check-in
  • Room upgrades
  • Discounted food and drinks
  • Kids go free
  • Upgraded tour package or experience
  • A voucher for use in your gift shop

If you’d prefer to offer a straight up discount, that’s okay too!  The more attractive the better!

We’d love to see you partner with other businesses to create unique Adelaide experience packages – hotels, attractions, tour operators, food and beverage and retailers all working together.

In return for your offer, the City of Adelaide will promote your business for FREE during the campaign.

Terms and conditions

  • The campaign will be valid from 1 August to 30 November 2020. Please include any exclusion dates and terms and conditions in the offer registration form.
  • To participate, you need to be an Adelaide CBD or North Adelaide based business or operate your tour/experience within the city's Park Lands boundary. If in doubt, check in with us.
  • You will need to track and report on the quantity of redemptions and sales value on a monthly basis to City of Adelaide.
  • It is free to participate.
  • City of Adelaide reserves the right to not run this campaign if there is limited participation from industry. You will be advised if this is the case prior to 1 August.
  • City of Adelaide reserves the right to include or exclude submitted offers in the campaign at its sole discretion.
  • This campaign will feature accommodation, paid tours and paid attractions. Free attractions and experiences may be featured in suggested itineraries on the web page.
