The most Instagrammable bars in Adelaide

Last updated 06 Sept, 2021

Sometimes you just want a little bit extra pizzazz while you’re sipping away. We’ve collated some of most Instagrammable bars in Adelaide to meet all your aesthetic needs for this weekend’s drinks!

The Sorcerer's Bar

25B Bank Street, Adelaide

The Sorcerer’s Bar will have you exclaiming, “You’re a wizard, Harry!”, all night long. This Harry Potter themed bar has it all - butterbeer shots, flaming cocktails and Polyjuice potion served from a cauldron, naturally.

The walls are clad with wallpaper that will have you feeling like you’re inside the Dursley’s house, while the exposed brick bar makes the perfect backdrop for a photo of your smoking cocktail. We hear there may even be a Sorting Hat lying around to perfect your Harry Potter post!

Maybe Mae

15 Peel Street, Adelaide

The interior of this beautifully renovated bar was inspired by the 1950s glamour that is their name-sake, entertainment icon Mae West. Green leather booths, flowers and brass embellished mirrors add to the smooth atmosphere the owners have created.

Once you've stopped taking photos of the alluring interior, you'll move on to the perfectly crafted cocktails that are made with sustainable and locally sourced ingredients.

Hotel Longtime

110 Grote Street, Adelaide

With interiors that are part Barbie-mansion, part club-house, Hotel Longtime is an instagrammers playground. The front room is decked out with navy leather, gold accents and hard liquors to match, the central room is tickled pink with pastel velvet lounges and the prettiest pink fireplace we’ve ever seen, and the back room brings the fun with bright neon lights, graphic wallpaper and a table tennis table.

For drinks you can’t go past their Fairy Floss Martini – your glass comes filled with fairy floss and dissolves as you pour the liquor over it. It’s hard not to video! Special mention to Hotel Longtime for also having the most Instagrammable ladies bathroom we’ve ever seen, check it out for yourself.

Holey Moley

Level 1, 162 - 170 Pulteney Street

Don your golf attire and head out for an experience unlike any other – one that must be captured! Holey Moley is where adults get to enjoy mini-golf once again, but this time with more cocktails involved. The 18-hole internal course is both wacky and insta-worthy, with a special mention to the Upside-Down Room, Bedrock n Roll and Iron Throne holes.

The cocktail list will also help you relive your childhood, with cocktails coming adorned with Wizz Fizz and paper umbrellas. Make sure you capture your friend’s worst shots – nothing funnier for your Instagram audience.

BRKLYN

260 - 262 Rundle Street, Adelaide

Bringing a little slice of the Big Apple to Rundle Street, BRKLYN is a staple on the East End. The tiled staircase leads you a New York subway-esque landing with tiled BRKLYN sign – an Instagram must for visitors – and the bar interior is cosy, clad with wood and iron.

Beautifully crafted cocktails are sure to make your story, alongside classic NY food offerings like their Rueben sandwich. After you’ve sampled the drinks menu, they even have an in-house barber for the more adventurous patron. Nothing says Instagram quite like your mate getting his head shaved while sipping a New York Sour.

Paloma Bar

20 Peel Street, Adelaide

The interior of this bar has a clean, crisp, Mediterranean vibe that will make you feel like you're relaxing somewhere along the southern coast of Spain. The neutral colours of the bar along with the beautifully colourful cocktails means it's almost impossible to take a bad photo.
