Adelaide ghosts & ghouls walking tour
The tour explores the stories behind Adelaide’s alleged hauntings and crimes, while shedding light on some our city’s more chilling history. The tour is a collaboration between paranormal investigator Allen Tiller, sound recordist Anthony Frith, and Adelaide City Libraries. It was designed and developed based on research from Allen’s history residency at the libraries in 2016, along with a range of ghost stories brought forward via public consultation sessions.

How to use this tour

- Your journey through the darker side of Adelaide’s history begins at City Library (Rundle Place accessible via Francis Street laneway), and concludes at the North Adelaide Library and Community Centre (176 Tynte Street, North Adelaide)
- The estimated distance for this tour is 4km with 11 stops. Please allow 2 – 2.5 hours of medium paced walking and listening time.
- The tour directs the listeners to the outside of each of the included sites.

About the author
Allen Tiller is one of Australia’s most recognised paranormal investigators, eminent paranormal historian, and star of internationally renowned television show “Haunting: Australia”. Allen is also the founder of paranormal investigation teams Eidolon Paranormal and South Australian Paranormal and the author of book and blog, “The Haunts of Adelaide: History, Mystery and the Paranormal”.
Allen was awarded the 2017 “Emerging South Australian Historian of The Year Award” by The History Council of South Australia, for his extensive contributions to making South Australia’s history accessible to the public via his work with the Adelaide City Libraries, The City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council, and constant promotion of history through talks, events, and media appearances.
About the sound recordist
Anthony Frith is a writer/director with a unique vision and a passion for the bizarre. His comedy short “The Worst Alien in The World”, funded through the Raw Nerve initiative and produced by Rebecca Elliott, was nominated for seven South Australian Screen Awards in 2016 and premiered at Revelations Film Festival in Perth. He has also been recognised for his producing work on the drama short “Servo”, starring Snowtown's Lucas Pittaway, receiving Best Emerging Producer at the 2015 South Australian Screen Awards. Anthony’s webseries pilot, “The Confidence Men”, funded through youth arts organisation Carclew, premiered at the 2017 Adelaide Film Festival. “Lessons From A Middle Class Artist”, is his first documentary and his first time working with a broadcaster.
In 2018, Anthony was offered a place in a twelve-day practical film workshop run by Black Factory Cinema, where he travelled to the Peruvian jungle to be mentored by acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog.
